Dell Outlet ventured into the social media world in early 2007 when it launched the first Dell Twitter property, Twitter.com/DellOutlet. The idea was to offer information on new Dell Outlet product arrivals and special offer info, plus be a resource for customer to ask questions and provide comments.
Since the launch, @DellOutlet has attracted a huge following. Today, over 13,000 followers receive updates from Dell Outlet via the Twitter posts. In response, Dell Outlet is now beginning to post more regular Twitter-exclusive offers in addition to keeping the community apprised of general specials and updates.
